Job description

We are working for a multinational company leader within the Real State Assets sector looking for the Corporate Controller that will manage and supervise the operational activities of consolidation and budgeting of the Group companies, ensuring the updating of information in the systems and applications, as well as the control of the information received from the various departments and companies and the preparation of files for the analysis of the consolidated and the preparation of budgets, according to the directives of his superior and in accordance with corporate regulations, in order to ensure the timely availability of accurate and reliable information and solid data on which to make decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities are:

  1. Coordinate and supervise the operational activities of consolidation and budgeting of the companies at international level, with special attention to the reception of data from the various directorates and companies, detecting and resolving possible incidents (delays, discrepancies in interpretation, etc.), in order to ensure the soundness and veracity of the information on which budgets are prepared and management control is performed, as well as its homogeneity.
  2. Analysis of budget deviations and proposals for improvement
  3. To supervise the operational activities of entering information in the applications in order to ensure the updating of information and systems and provide effective support.
  4. To supervise the operational activities of revision and control of the cash flow (reconciliation of inter-group balances and treatment of incorrectness, monthly consolidation, etc.), making the comparative tables of variations of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account, etc., analyzing such information, in order to provide the consolidated, truthful and reliable information, in due time and form.
  5. To carry out or, where appropriate, supervise the completion of surveys or other documents requested by public bodies and investors in its area of responsibility, affecting any of the companies, in order to provide the appropriate information in each case and avoid possible penalties for non-compliance with the request.
  6. Ensure the archiving of information from the Controlling area, in order to ensure the maintenance of documentation so that it is available for later use and/or revision if necessary.
  7. Provide reports and other documents (presentations, statistics, dashboards, etc.) to the Company's Management on the status of various companies, business units and projects, with the aim of providing up-to-date and reliable data on the company activity to enable sound decisions to be made.
  8. Advise the various companies and projects on economic matters, answering their questions, and especially in budgeting and in order to increase their autonomy in these tasks as well as the quality of the work done.
  9. Collaboration with external audit teams.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

At least 8/10 years in a similar position as Corporate Business Controller in international companies (at least European with more than 3 countries) preferably in the management of real estate assets (Real Estate). Experience in retail / industrial real estate assets is a plus.

                          Fluent oral and written English and Spanish is a must.

                          Educational Background

                          Preferably a degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Business Administration or the same combined with Law.

                          Master or postgraduate degree in Finance desirable.
