Job description

We are working for an american multinational manufacturer and marketer of branded processed consumer foods, looking for an Accounting & Control Business Partner of the supply chain network (5 plants and 1 central finance team).

This profile will work with the Global Accounting Organization (GAO), the supply chain Functions and Supply Chain Finance organizations to maintain accurate external financial statements in compliance with US GAAP requirements. This role is uniquely positioned to gain perspective on the processes and decisions supporting the company complex supply chain and resulting market presence.

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide accounting expertise and business partnership across the Europe and Australia Supply Chain: Manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, sourcing, capital, fixed assets and leases. 
  • Collaborate across functions and communicate with leadership to drive the accuracy of financial results, functional excellence, and development of accounting and controls capabilities throughout the organization.
  • Follow and comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and current financial legislation for financial statements.
  • Support our supply chain financial reporting processes, and provide the opportunity to support a variety of strategic projects, under the supervision of the Corporate & Supply Chain Sr. Accounting Manager. 
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, and ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information with focus on plant entities. This includes managing resolution for escalated issues.
  • Review and monitor monthly very high-risk balance sheet account reconciliation as defined by operational accounting policy in the supply chain workstream.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • Big four public accounting firm experience.
  • 7 years experience in Management & Accounting with relevant experience in supply chain accounting.
  • Results oriented, proactive, agile
  • Process and process improvement driven mindset
  • Ability to build trusting relationships
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence across the organization
  • Strong SAP knowledge and ability to understand & analyze data from systems.
  • English proficiency required. French will be a plus.
  • Certified Public Accountants degree of any jurisdiction with IFRS expertise
